Each row is one 71-bit private key in hex, 18 characters. Derive its compressed-pubkey address and you always land on an address opening with the same 8 characters as the Puzzle 71 target. The addresses are not stored β you regenerate them yourself, which is exactly how you verify the data is real.

What exactly is in the database?
988,779 candidate values compiled for Bitcoin Puzzle 71, a public, well-known challenge in which a single Bitcoin address holds a prize for whoever finds its private key. This list is a research dataset of candidates β it is not a list of keys, and there is no guarantee that any row in it is the winning one.
What do I get for sending Bitcoin?
More of the database becomes visible β to you and to everyone else, at the same time. This is a shared unlock, not a personal purchase: there is no private download, no account, and no exclusive access. You are funding the release of the data to the public.
How does the site know I paid?
It reads the wallet's total amount ever received straight from the public Bitcoin blockchain and converts it to USD at the current BTC price. Nothing is tracked per person, no payment ID is needed, and the unlocked share only ever goes up.
Why didn't the bar move right after I sent?
The blockchain figures are refreshed at most once every 5 minutes (this keeps the site from hammering the block explorer, no matter how many people are visiting). Your payment is counted as soon as it appears in the mempool β just give it a few minutes and reload.
Is there a minimum amount?
No. Any amount counts, and every contribution adds to the same total. $1 is 0.1% of the database; the goal is $1,000 for the full release.
What happens once $1,000 is reached?
The entire database is public and stays public. The unlock never reverses, and further payments are not needed.
The unlocked percentage is driven by the wallet's total received amount, read live from the public Bitcoin blockchain and priced in USD. It is cumulative across all contributors β everyone sees the same unlocked portion.
